About FACE

General Information

The Third Ward Financial, Artistic, Career & Empowerment Center (FACE) is a holistic, integrated services delivery approach to community wealth-building. Within FACE we work with resource-limited Third Ward jobseekers as they navigate their career search, change courses professionally, or improve their financial literacy knowledge and skills. FACE is best suited for neighbors working to reduce debt, increase savings, secure a full-time position, or explore creative career paths when you select the Building Blocks of Creative Careers track.

In FACE, you’ll work with experienced coaches within 1-on-1 financial, creative, and career coaching sessions who will provide counsel for your long-term financial and career goals. Get help creating or managing your budget, finding a job, or access a range of business skills courses for artists and creatives through one of our two program tracks.

Program Features

FACE offers two program tracks – one for job seekers and those working to improve their financial literacy knowledge & skills, and another for artists & creatives seeking to learn critical business skills and to get help navigating their artistic practice (Building Blocks of Creative Careers or BBCC). Learn more about the BBCC here.

FACE program features include:

  • 1-on-1 financial coaching + free financial literacy workshops facilitated by community partners
  • 1-on-1 career coaching + job leads & professional development
  • Help with credit disputes & errors
  • Personalized budget assistance
  • Resume writing + mock interviews & job readiness workshops
  • Government assistance, food distributions & disaster recovery resources
  • Access to a range of supportive services, including legal support, along with upcoming basic digital literacy classes, tax clinics & art therapy!
