Supportive Services

Food Security

Third Ward residents experience food insecurity at a rate 125% higher than the national average. To help overcome the gap between available, fresh & healthy, locally produced food, Project Row Houses has partnered with Urban Harvest and Second Servings Houston to provide fresh produce and prepared meals to Third Ward neighbors in need.

Pop-Up Grocery Distributions

Project Row Houses is pleased to partner with Second Servings Houston to provide prepared and perishable groceries for Third Ward residents. Second Servings Houston is the only food rescue organization in Houston working to eliminate food waste by delivering surplus food to those in need, serving more than 175,000 people per year.

Relief boxes with household items and toiletries are also provided by Bread of Life, which has served the Houston community for over 30 years. Our pop-up distributions use a choice model so neighbors can select what they need for themselves and their families. Join us biweekly, on the first and third Friday of each month from 1-3pm at 2510 Division. No RSVP is required and groceries are first come, first served.
