Juneteenth Houston is introducing its inaugural Juneteenth kick-off event, “Celebrate Freedom,” produced by the Houston Freedmen’s Town Conservancy (Fourth Ward), Midtown Cultural Arts District, Third Ward Cultural Arts District, Fifth Ward Cultural Arts District, Independence Heights, Acres Homes, and surrounding neighborhoods.

Join us on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at Emancipation Park, 3018 Emancipation Ave., from 2-8 p.m., with a Community Family Activation from 3-6 p.m., followed by the official program from 6-8 p.m. This event aims to bring together representatives from historic districts, providing a platform to showcase their Juneteenth events and share their unique stories.
