Join us for BBCC’s Artist Mentorship Showcase Mixer! Explore the showcase this Friday, February 17 from 6-8pm at 2521 Holman. This event will display artwork from seven BBCC program participants and established local artists they were paired with,  to serve as mentors during this six-month process. o serve as mentors. Enjoy light bites by Shakti Baum, tunes by Mookie Copeland, and celebrate Cohort 2 and their growth in our Artist Mentorship Program.

The Artist Mentorship Program is part of the Building Blocks of Creative Careers (BBCC) program, a special track for artists and creatives within the Third Ward Financial, Artistic, Career, and Empowerment Center (FACE). Throughout the course of this program, the paired mentees and mentors have worked together to develop each mentees’ creative practice through knowledge, skill sharing, networking opportunities, and guidance in creating a collaborative work of art for the Artist Mentorship Showcase. On view in the Community Gallery at 2521 Holman from February 17 – April 30.
This showcase mixer is a chance to celebrate the work of each pair with their friends, family, and community in addition to kicking off Cohort 3 of the Artist Mentorship Program.
