In February 2022, the Artist Mentorship Program began its first cohort as part of Community Enrichment’s Building Blocks of Creative Careers (BBCC) program. This six-month commitment paired program participants with established local artists to serve as mentors to these emerging artists. Throughout the course of the program, mentors and mentees have worked together to develop their mentees’ creative practice through knowledge and skill sharing, as well as networking opportunities. At the conclusion of each cohort, a showcase featuring one work from each pair is put on display at PRH to display the mentees’ growth in the program. The Artist Mentorship Showcase Opening Mixer serves as an opportunity to celebrate the work of these artists with their friends, family, and community, as well as kick off the next cohort.
