Join Round 55 artist Danielle Fanfair and creator of The Magic of Movement Curriculum, Monica Josette, for Culture as Social Sculpture: Line Dancing Matters on Friday, May 19th from 6pm-8pm.
This special program is a line dancing experience in which we will understand the history, reasons and power that keeps African American line dancing at our family and community gatherings. We will commemorate our ancestors’ ingenuity and celebrate our freedom through the power of movement, as at many points in history, our joyful expression was ILLEGAL.
