Calling all spoken word poets! Smoke Slam will be hosting its final out of 3 poetry performance workshops for artists and creatives in Third Ward. Each workshop consists of poetry writing, poetry performance, and immediate feedback from award winning poets. We are excited to see poets come to perfect their craft and grow as artists! Wednesday, May 24th – led by Blacqwildflowr from 1pm-3 pm

Smoke Slam is a Houston-based competitive poetry team consisting of LeChell “The Shootah” R.H, Sherrika Mitchell, Blacqwildflowr, RJ Wright and Aris Kian. Between them, Smoke Slam holds 17 individual national titles, 5 respective team titles, one coaching title and is coached under the legendary Ebony Stewart.
