Welcome to Our Impact Gallery
Art, Social Sculpture, and the Soul of the Third Ward
Step into a digital extension of the row. The Impact Gallery is a living archive of the people who make Project Row Houses a site of transformation. Here, we celebrate the intersection of art, history, and community through the voices of those who live, create, and lead within our historic row houses.
Experience the beauty of our collective impact—one story at a time.
We believe that personal narratives are the most potent tools for advocacy. By sharing these experiences, we bridge the gap between “us” and “them,” turning abstract goals into a tangible reality.
“Art does not change the world by itself, but it changes the people who will change the world.”

At the end of camp, teens were asked to share a “confessional: about their time spent with their mentors at Project Row Houses.
Floyd Newsum Summer Studios 2025
In 2025, Project Row Houses’ (PRH) Floyd Newsum Summer Studios Mentorship + Residency Program accepted ten undergraduate students for an exclusive opportunity to learn and grow their creative practice in the historic neighborhood of Houston’s Third Ward. This program honors the late PRH co-founder, artist, and educator, Floyd Newsum, and his commitment to supporting student artists.
Selected applicants received a $1,000 stipend, free studio space at Project Row Houses, and exclusive mentorship from accomplished local professionals in the arts.
Art as Advocacy
At Project Row Houses, we believe that community is the ultimate masterpiece. This gallery isn’t just about looking back; it’s about documenting how collective action and creative expression revitalize our urban landscape without erasing its history.
“We are building a neighborhood, not just housing. We are creating a space where art is the catalyst for social change.”
Witness the power of place. Explore the stories that turn these houses into a home for hope.
