At This Table: Artist Talk and Recipe Exchange
July 21, 2018 | Noon - 1:30 pm
Project Row Houses
At This Table: An artist talk and recipe exchange with the artists featured in “Dear Mama” an art exhibition, currently on display at Project Row Houses until August 12th
Engage in conversation with the artists of “Dear Mama” as they gather in PRH's Community Gallery. The artists will share significant dishes and recipes that have a special place in their families. After sharing their food memories and recipes, the artists will transition into a conversation about their artwork and art practice as it is represented in the “Dear Mama” exhibition currently on view at Project Row Houses.
Dear Mama is curated around themes of family ties and maternal relationships; these conversations are an extension of this theme and hold a special place embodied in memories that are made around the kitchen table.
Featured artists include Janee Bailey, Right Half of My Brain, Armando Castelan, Colby Deal, Kevo, Emily Peacock, Jaime Robertson, Faith Schwartz, Kenyah Shabazz and Britt Thomas.
"Dear Mama" is supported by Project Row Houses through the Strategic Art Plan, generously funded by Houston Endowment.
