How You Can Help
The transformation of Project Row Houses over the past twenty years would not have been possible without the help and support of many individuals, foundations, corporations, and other community-based, artistic, and educational organizations. Project Row Houses can only continue to thrive with the support and generosity of the community. Project Row Houses also accepts in-kind donations.
Our mission is to be the catalyst for transforming community through the celebration of art and African-American history and culture. Without the support of its community, PRH could not have:
Mounted Public Art Rounds and numerous events and performances that have drawn thousands of residents and tourists from all over Houston and beyond to the Third Ward.
Helped young, single mothers, through the Young Mothers Residential Program (YMRP), find the courage and confidence to go on to personal, parental and professional success.
Provided quality, arts-based classes led by working professionals to the children and youth of Third Ward through our Arts Education Program.
Offered tutoring and homework assistance to students of all ages from the community.
Founded Row House Community Development Corporation in 2003; now independent, it has grown to 57 affordable housing units in Third Ward and remains a close partner.
Help us honor PRH’s Anniversary and Rick Lowe’s 2014 MacArthur Fellowship by donating to a Fund for the Second 20 Years. The 20th Anniversary has been a testimony to PRH’s uniqueness and originality, and has helped us to lay the foundation for the next two decades. Won’t you join us in recognizing the many contributions that Rick and PRH have made to Houston’s historic Third Ward, and beyond?
